Stanford Fair Use Project
The Stanford Center for Internet and Society's "Fair Use Project" ("the FUP") was founded in 2006 to provide legal support to a range of projects designed to clarify, and extend, the boundaries of "fair use" in order to enhance creative freedom.

Citizen Media Law Project
The mission of the CMLP is to provide education, legal training, and resources for individuals and organizations involved in citizen media. We also provide research and advocacy on free speech, newsgathering, intellectual property, and other legal issues related to online speech.

We seek to build a community of lawyers, academics, journalists, and others who are interested in facilitating citizen participation in online media and in protecting the legal rights of those engaged in speech on the Internet.

Center for Ethics and Action
The Center for Ethics in Action was created in 1996 to promote a new ethical compass for our country and the world beyond with women leaders setting the course. It is a publicly supported U.S. non-governmental organization with its own tax-exempt status, located at the University of New England's Portland, Maine campus. The Center for Ethics in Action gathers women leaders for symposiums, trainings and other educational programs. In addition, the CEIA mounts exhibitions of fine art created by women from around the world to demonstrate the importance of the arts in life-long learning as well as the transformative power of the arts in politics and life. From time to time CEIA serves as a fiscal sponsor for programs that fit within its vision and goals.

The Free Expression Network
The Free Expression Network (FEN) is an alliance of organizations dedicated to protecting the First Amendment right of free expression and the values it represents, and to opposing governmental efforts to suppress constitutionally protected speech.

A joint project of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, University of San Francisco, University of Maine, George Washington School of Law, and Santa Clara University School of Law clinics.

The Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression is a unique organization, devoted solely to the defense of free expression in all its forms.

Center for the Study of the Public Domain
The Center for the Study of the Public Domain at Duke Law School has as its mission is to promote research and scholarship on the contributions of the public domain to speech, culture, science and innovation, to promote debate about the balance needed in our intellectual property system and to translate academic research into public policy solutions.
